The drought in the Horn of Africa is affecting nearly over 10 million people from across Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. A deadly combination of successive failed rains and rising food prices has resulted in the worst drought the region has seen for 60 years.
Islamic Relief is on the ground in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia:
Emergency drought response project in three districts in Puntland, Somalia. This has included successful delivery of 7 litres of water a day to 35,406 for a period of one month and the provision of essential primary healthcare services to a further 1,322 women and children.
