“By Allah, I then fell down unconscious.”

Saleh al-Mizee said:

“In the middle of the day, I entered the graveyard. I looked at the graves and they were like a group of silent people.
I said,
‘How perfect Allah is! Who will bring you back to life and resurrect you after a long period of decomposition?’
A caller called out to me from behind those holes (in the ground), saying:
‘O Saleh:

"And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e from your graves for reckoning and recompense)." (Quran: Surah Rum 30:25)

Saleh said :
“By Allah, I then fell down unconscious.”

BBC to show film on Prophet Muhammad’s life!

June 20, 2011 in Islamic History, On The Media, Stories of the Prophets, Technology, Videos

prophet muhammedThe BBC is to trace the journey of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) for a new series which is claimed to be a first for British television.

Al Jazeera reporter Rageh Omaar will present the three-part programme for BBC2, following in the prophet’s footsteps from Mecca and along the journeys he took during his life.

To ensure the programmes are in line with Islamic tradition, they will not depict the face of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) or feature dramatic reconstructions of his life.

The Life Of Muhammad is to be screened next month and will follow events such as his migration to Medina and the founding of the first Islamic constitution, through to his death. It will also examine his legacy and the impact of the faith he established.

The trio of hour-long films have been made by Faris Kermani, the director and producer of Channel 4 series Seven Wonders Of The Muslim World. Read the rest of this entry →

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated, ‘Prophet Ibrahim brought Isma’eel’s mother (his wife, Hajar) and Isma’eel, while she was still nursing him, and then camped with them next to (the area where) the House (the Kaa’bah) was to be built, next to a large tree just above (the area where now exists the well of) Zamzam and which is also above the Masjid (the Holy Masjid in Makkah). At that time, Makkah had neither inhabitants nor a known source of water. He left them there and left with them a bag full of dates and a Siqaa’ (a jug usually made of leather) full of water.

June 8, 2011 in General Islam, Islamic History

signs day of judgement50 Signs of the Day of Judgment From the Words of Allah and His Messenger (sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam).

The Signs are listed in roughly chronological order, although the order is not necessarily precise, especially for those in the future.

This is a brief summary of the signs; there are many books, articles, cassettes etc. which discuss these in greater detail. May Allah enable us to recognise and heed the  Signs, and strengthen us in the times of tribulation.

“Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them  suddenly?  But its Signs have already come!” (Al-Qur’an, Surah Muhammad)

Khalid ibn al-Waleed

June 3, 2011 in Islamic History

Khalid ibn Al-Waleed (Khalid son of al-Walid 592–642) was first one of the generals who lead the Army against the Muslims (against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) himself. He was the only person to actually wound the Prophet (pbuh) and defeat the Muslims at the Battle of Uhud (March 19, 625).

He later reverted to Islam and won many wars fighting for and leading the Muslim armies. He was given the title (by the Prophet (pbuh)) as Sayf Allāh al-Maslūl (the Drawn Sword of God).

After the Prophet (pbuh) died, he continued to lead the Muslim armies, completely conquering and defeating the Romans, what was more significant was he used to win wars with less men then the opposition, so his tactical skills were excellent.
